Pradeep Gupte received his undergraduate degree in Engineering in India, and his graduate education in Biomedical Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University ( with thesis at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center of Columbia University), NY. He was the Director of Biomedical Engineering and Assistant Hospital Director at Westchester Medical Center , Valhalla, NY for 22 years. He has faculty appointments at the New York Medical College in the departments of Surgery and Anesthesiology as Research Associate Professor. He has organized ventures to commercialize medical devices which included setting up the entity, raising funds organizing the management team and operating the company. In addition, he has been active in the medical devices standards writing activity which has resulted in several ANSI standards. He is a member of the TAG for the European standards activity at present. He has a history of interest in the mechanism of cardiac ischemia and injury. He has several publications in many different scientific journals. He is also a past consultant and voting member to the FDA Device Good Manufacturing Advisory Committee. He is a member of the editorial review board for the Journal of Clinical Engineering; and Prosthetics & Orthotics newsletter of Quest publishing. He is a member of the American Heart Association, American Assocociation for the Advancement of Science, New York Academy of Science, and the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine. He has 22 years of experience in managing, developing and commercializing products including conducting and coordinating trials in USA and overseas for diversified biomedical products. He has authored 50 papers and 10 patents.

George Heinze was a Senior Director and Vice President at the R.W. Johnson Research Institute. He had been with Johnson & Johnson for 39 years, previously holding positions with them as Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Operations, Director of Regulatory Affairs, Director of Biological Assurance and Assistant Director of Quality Assurance He was one of the founders of Janssen Pharmaceutica Inc. and worked as their Director of Operations, Vice President Operations and Vice President Business Development during 1980 thru 1989. During his stay at Johnson & Johnson he was responsible for such activities as management of all Quality Assurance laboratories, development and monitoring of all sterilization procedures for drugs and devices, drug device compliance activities including submissions of IND's, NDA's and PMAA's and auditing , as well as for manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, technical service and Quality Assurance for Janssen Pharmaceautica. Prior to Joining RTL he was responsible for the approval and introduction of new pharmaceutical products in Europe and the Far East, plus research project management worldwide. He holds a B.A. Degree in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in chemistry from Rutgers University. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Parenteral Drug Association and an Officer and Director of AAMI, as well as Sigma XI and Phi Lambda Upsilon Honorary Societies. He has served as the Chairman of the PMA Device Section GMP Committee and as an industry representative and Chairman of FDA’s Device GMP Committee. He has been and continues to be active in a number of volunteer community service organizations such as United Way, Boy Scouts of America and New Jersey Social Ministry, as well as county-appointed positions on the Youth Service Commission and the Human Service Advisory Council.
John Pile Spellman

John Pile-Spellman is Vice President of Research for Rockland Technimed Ltd . He is responsible for setting the strategy for RTL's research and discovery activities as well as leading RTL's clinical research. He has been with RTL since 2005.In addition to his work at RTL, Dr. Pile-Spellman is a Professor of Radiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Vice Chair of Research and Director of Interventional MRI and Academic Interventional Neuroradiology at Columbia-New York Presbyterian Hospital. He was previously Director of Interventional Neuroradiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Columbia-Cornell. He has written over 100 peer reviewed scientific articles and is recognized as an international leader in Interventional Neuroradiology. Dr. Pile-Spellman is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Neuroradiolgy, the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology, and the New York Academy of Sciences. He also serves on the board of a number of non-profit corporations and is board certified in Radiology.
External accolades include Best Doctors in America, Best Doctors in New York, and Marquis Who’s Who in the World, Science and Engineering. He has trained over thirty (30) Interventional Neuroradiology fellows and the first Holman Pathway Fellow. Dr. Pile-Spellman publishes actively in collaboration with the neurology, neuropsychiatry and anesthesiology services at Columbia-New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Dr. Pile-Spellman has had extensive experience in clinical research and trials. Besides initiating and leading the iMRI-GE®-NYP-CU partnership, Dr. Pile-Spellman is currently working with innovative leaders in business including: Concentric® Medical Device for Phase I –II clot extraction in acute stroke, obtaining the first IRB waiver of consent in acute stroke patients in New York; with Biocure® a spin-off of Novartis® in developing polymers for endoluminal paving to treat a wide range of vascular diseases; with Pall® Corporation to study blood filtration for reperfusion injury medication for acute stroke; and is currently developing projects with Medred® (intraarterial pumps and devices for stroke and tumors); and with venture funding for pre-venture R&D program investments and spin-off ventures.

Luigi Arena graduated from the Medical College of Pennslyvania in 1985. He finished his Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering from the University of California-Los Angeles in 1981. He has an M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York in 1974. He has a Doctorate degree from University of Naples, Italy 1977. He was awarded the American Heart Assocaition undergraduate research prize for work on Non Invasive estimation of cardiac output by combined 2D-Echo/Doppler Imaging.. He was a N.I.H. Research Fellow in 1981-82. He was awarded Ralph & Marjorie Crump Award for Excellence in Medical Engineering in 1981. He was N.A.T.O. Junior Fellow in 1982 and a Fulbright Scholar in 1972. He is Board certified by American Board of Radiology in 1991. and by National Board of Medical Examinaers in 1986.He is well published in various medical and engineering journals. He is a member of R.S.N.A.; New York Roentgen Society, I.E.E.E. Engineering in Medicine an Biology. American College of Radiology and International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.

His expertise is rooted in the representation of early-stage companies. As a counselor of startups through mezzanine and later-stage financing, Mr. Cole assists with bringing companies in a wide range of businesses along to maturity. His broad-based contacts with financiers and investors have provided capital and management assistance to a number of the firm's clients over the years. Mr. Cole has served on the boards of several business, community and social organizations. He has been a trustee of Boston University, his alma mater, for over twenty years, having served on its Investment Committee and Community Technology Fund. During that time, Mr. Cole was a member of the Board of Visitors of the Boston Medical Center.
Robert DeLaPaz, MD is Professor of Radiology and Director of Neuroradiology at Columbia University - New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. DeLaPaz joined the faculty in 1995. He spent the earlier stages of his career at Stanford University following subspecialty training at Harvard. Dr. DeLaPaz is widely known for his work in applications of functional, i.e., high speed, MRI to the analysis of brain disorders and brain rehabilitation. Dr. DeLaPaz also is taking an active role in the applications of Columbia's MR research and in his role as Radiology CIO directs the department-wide PACS effort.
